Evangelize Non-Believers Toward Salvation
We believe that the gospel has the power to transform people and change their eternal destination. Our mission starts with sharing the life-changing message of Jesus Christ with those who have not yet experienced His grace. We are committed to reaching non-believers and leading them toward salvation through faith in Him. This is central to our evangelistic efforts.
Equip Unified Believers Toward Maturity
We believe that spiritual growth is a continuous journey. We are committed to equipping believers with the tools they need to deepen their understanding of God’s Word, strengthen their relationship with Him, and serve others. This growth happens within a unified community where believers support one another in their walk of faith, helping each other mature spiritually and live out the gospel.
Establish New Believers in the Church
We believe in the ministry of the local church as God’s ordained context for believers to grow and thrive in their faith. New believers need the guidance, community, and support that only the church can provide. We are committed to helping them become rooted in Scripture and integrated into the life and mission of the church, which is the foundation God has established for their growth.
Entrust Faithful Believers to Multiply
We believe that every disciple is called to make disciples. As the church, we are commissioned by God to carry the gospel locally and globally. We are committed to raising up leaders and multiplying churches by investing in the development of future leaders and supporting church plants. Through discipleship and leadership training, we equip faithful believers to extend God’s kingdom and multiply the work of the church, reaching new communities with the gospel.
Pastor Luis, along with his wife, Liala, and their three children—Lily, Emma, and Evan—are passionate about serving God and advancing His Kingdom. Originally from Lima, Peru, and raised in Miami, Luis has been serving in various ministry roles since 2011. His heart is for discipleship, helping people grow in their relationship with Christ, and empowering believers to fulfill the Great Commission.
Luis was ordained as a pastor in 2021 and is driven by a vision to lead a church that is rooted in Scripture, passionate about discipleship, and actively making a difference both locally and globally.
He holds a Master of Divinity in Homiletics and a Master of Theological Studies from Liberty University, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration from Florida International University. Luis brings a wealth of experience in pastoral leadership, preaching, and discipleship, and is committed to building a gospel-centered church.
As Senior Pastor at Peters Road Church, Luis is dedicated to helping individuals grow in their faith, deepen their understanding of God’s Word, and develop as leaders within the church. His leadership focuses on equipping the next generation of believers and pastors to continue spreading the gospel in meaningful ways.
Our church was founded in the city of Fort Lauderdale in 1972.
Our congregation has always been predominantly Hispanic. As the years passed, we found the need to expand our ministry to reach families in our English-speaking community.
We are guided by the Holy Spirit, focused on the Word of God, and obeying what Jesus has commanded.
